Digital Solutions and Services will be performing essential maintenance to AppsAnywhere / Cloudpaging services from 5 pm on Thursday 29th August. As a result of this work, AppsAnywhere applications may be removed from your Cloudpaging Player.
If you have any applications in your Cloudpaging Player then you could get an error message similar to the ones below, following this work. After you have selected “OK” on any notifications, you will be able to re-launch any applications that you need again from AppsAnywhere.
Example errors you may receive:
"Application "<name>" has been terminated as it is no longer authorized and will be removed."
"The license for "<name>" is unavailable or expired. The application will be removed."
If you receive such a message, you can safely close this and we kindly ask that you re-launch the application again from the AppsAnywhere portal: https://appsanywhere.derby.ac.uk/managed
How to minimise these errors.
There is no necessity to do anything ahead of this period, however in order to reduce the likelihood or number of errors appearing, then you can remove any applications from the Cloudpaging Player ahead of the change, that you no longer require.
What do the errors mean?
These errors may state a “license expiration”, please note that this is only referring to an internal license used by AppsAnywhere and not any actual licenses that have been purchased to use the software.
