On 2022-03-03 from 21:51 UTC to 22:12 UTC, the Panopto EU Cloud experienced overall increased error rates. During this time, customers will have experienced errors while logging in, viewing, and editing content.
RCA: During a planned maintenance operation to update the databases in the EU cloud, a planned failover from the primary database to its live backup resulted in the live backup database becoming temporarily unresponsive. This unresponsiveness led to increased error rates as requests were delayed and timed out. The Panopto operations team resolved the issue by restarting the backup database service.
To prevent a recurrence of this issue, our engineering team will implement improvements to our database system architecture to ensure better system stability during scheduled and unscheduled database failovers.

CMIS Go Downtime, 1st March
Due to a system patch , the online timetable system CMIS Go will be unavailable between 3pm - 4pm. Students will still be able to access their personalised timetables via the UDo app, but staff will not be able to access online timetables during this period. The online room booking service via CMIS Go will also be unavailable during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact itsservicecentre@derby.ac.uk.
