The service was unavailable between 11:42 and 14:16 on the 2nd of November.
If you were trying to use the TurnItIn system (via Blackboard) to submit coursework, mark submissions, or create submission points, you would have experienced issues during this time.

Due to an unexpected service incident, users accessing Turnitin via an integration may have experienced difficulties in creating assignments using an external tool (LTI 1.1 and LTI 1.3) today. We are pleased to advise that service has been restored.
The incident occurred between the following times:

GMT: 1st November 16:43 - 1st November 22:19

On Tuesday, November 7th through Thursday, November 9th we will be performing scheduled maintenance on a subset of our Google and Azure Dedicated servers. This maintenance will be during the following maintenance window time frame for each region to minimize impact on your site.

Asia-Pacific Tuesday, November 7th: 8a - 2p Central Time
<b>Europe Wednesday, November 8th: 4p - 10p Central Time [08.1.23 21:00 - 09.11.23 03:00 GMT]</b>
Americas Thursday, November 9th: 10p - 4a Central Time
For this subset of servers, we do expect that the maintenance may result in up to a 10 minute interruption of service as the server is rescheduled. Outside of the temporary service interruption, there should be no impact to your site. We will be monitoring the situation closely to ensure minimal disruption.
Please note - This maintenance will not apply to any of our shared, or clustered offerings.
